My love for plants and flowers began when I was a child, watching my grandmother care for the plants around her home. She had a natural way with them and I loved being outside in her yard, learning about the different plants that grew in the wild. Those early moments sparked a lasting appreciation for nature and the quiet beauty that plants bring to everyday life.
As I grew older, that curiosity deepened when I'd visited the funeral home where my uncle worked. I became fascinated by the floral arrangements displayed there, the way flowers could be thoughtfully arranged to express love, remembrance, and comfort. Seeing how floral design could carry such meaning left a strong impression on me and helped shape my passion for the craft.
Creativity has always been an important part of who I am. Throughout school, I sought out activities where I could express that creativity, including gardening clubs, concert and marching band, and creative writing and poetry events. These outlets allowed me to explore different forms of expression and helped nurture the artistic perspective I bring into my floral work today.
Outside of floral design, I enjoy spending my free time collecting and caring for houseplants, scrapbooking, cooking and baking, and occasionally relaxing with video games. I also believe strongly in giving back to the community. When possible, I donate food, clothing, and other essentials to local charities, and I support organizations that focus on nature and wildlife conservation, veterans with disabilities, and programs that help children in need.
At the heart of everything I do, whether designing with flowers, creating something by hand, or supporting causes I care about, is a simple goal: to contribute beauty, kindness, and care to the world around me.
